Introduction To Pickleball

Pickleball is a fun and easy-to-learn racquet sport suitable for all ages and abilities. It's played on a compact court with a solid paddle and a plastic wiffle ball hit over a low net. Games are played with two (singles) or four (doubles) players. First time players find it easy to pick up and not as physically demanding as other racket sports. Games last 10-15 minutes with partners and opponents changing for each game. Swapping players combined with a smaller court size facilitates meeting lots of people making pickleball a very social sport.

After an initial introduction players quickly become absorbed in the game. Over time interest in developing further skills and strategies provides the right amount of complexity to keep players engaged while having fun. Skills progress to strategic volleys, precise placement and fast paced ralleys.
