Leagues

In pickleball we call a weekly organised competition a "league".

Playing in a league is a fantastic way to improve your pickleball skills with players of a similar level in a competitive but friendly environment. Many league players go on to enter in pickleball tournaments.

Leagues are suitable for players with a wide range of skills from about a playing level of 2.5. Skills from this level include as a minimum

  • Ability to reliably serve and return a serve
  • Keep the ball in play consistently
  • Use of basic tactics and strategies
  • Knowledge of scoring.

Leagues are generally run by pickleball clubs or venues which may require membership to enter. Check with your local pickleball club or venue to find out the details of leagues running near you.
